We're Barry and Melissa — the husband-and-wife team behind The Resell Couple.

What started as a simple way to make extra income slowly turned into something much bigger than we ever expected.

Like many families, we found ourselves carrying debt, feeling financially stretched, and looking for a way to create more freedom for our family. We started reselling as a side hustle while balancing work, parenting, and everyday life — sourcing at thrift stores, learning eBay late at night, making mistakes, and figuring things out one step at a time.

At first, we honestly had no idea where this journey would lead.

Then life shifted. Through unexpected circumstances and career changes, we reached a point where we had to seriously ask ourselves if we were willing to bet on this business and fully commit to building something of our own. What began as "just trying to pay off debt" slowly became a real business, a creative outlet, and a new chapter for our family.

Today, we sell across platforms like eBay, Poshmark, Depop, Mercari, Shopify, and Whatnot while sharing our journey online through YouTube and social media. We love helping newer resellers learn what we're learning in real time — from sourcing and listing to branding, content creation, and growing an online presence.

One of the biggest parts of our journey is our faith.

We are followers of Jesus Christ, and our business is deeply rooted in that foundation. We truly believe God opened doors for us during seasons where we felt uncertain, overwhelmed, and discouraged. While we work hard and continue learning every day, we ultimately trust God to guide this business and direct our path wherever He wants it to go.

We don't claim to have all the answers or pretend to be experts who have everything figured out. We're still growing, still learning, and still building this business day by day. But we hope that by sharing our real experiences — both the wins and the struggles — we can encourage and help others who are trying to build something for themselves too.
